Howard Jones

Howard Jones

Howard qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001 and obtained his Practicing Certificate in 2008. Qualifications also include an Honours Degree in Accountancy Studies from Exeter University.

A partner at Edwards & Keeping and RI (Responsible Individual), who can sign off on audit reports for the larger corporate clients, Howard enjoys working with owner-managed business as well as charities, clubs and other organisations. Howard also provides taxation advice in a number of areas for both personal and business clients.

Edwards & Keeping’s diverse range of clients, and the sometimes surprisingly complex situations they request advice upon, continues to provide a stimulating and rewarding role. Clients range in size from individuals requiring the completion of a simple personal tax return to medium-sized companies. Many of our clients are based in the local area, however we do have many clients situated throughout the UK and some overseas.

Prior to joining Edwards & Keeping in 2003, Howard was located in Poole with the national firm BDO. He built up his experience in the business advice department and within audit and taxation, working with owner-managed businesses and medium-sized companies. Clients included the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu Estate, together with other manufacturing, engineering, retail and leisure businesses.

After university initial, invaluable experience was gained with local firm Coyne Butterworth & Chalmers, based in Weymouth.

Howard is married with two children. Having grown up next to the sea in south Dorset he enjoys being on or in the water either sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding or fishing whenever the opportunity arises. Howard also enjoys cycling and competed in various mountain bike events in his younger years, but sadly his physical fitness levels are no longer at the level they once were.
