Ian was educated at Poole Grammar School and Oxford University, and since then has spent over 35 years in the accountancy profession. He trained in the Poole office of a national firm and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 1984. Ian then remained in Dorset and held managerial posts in international firms , taking responsibility for their small business clients, before joining Edwards & Keeping as a partner in 1991.
Ian's main areas of expertise are advising owner managed businesses, fiscal share valuations, and Estate administration. As Senior Audit partner, he is responsible for providing cost effective audit services to our corporate clients and also to solicitors and other professionals who hold client money. He is also heavily involved with the running of the extensive Poundbury development in Dorchester.
Ian has been married for 28 years to Deborah, who shares his love of dogs, walking and travelling, having met on a holiday to Peru in 1986. He can also be seen playing Racketball, having previously enjoyed playing competitive Squash and Badminton.
